Balance 21 is a lifestyle not a cleanse.

This program is a balanced and sustainable approach to detoxification and transformation that combines the benefits of the MEDICAL MEDIUM ELIMINATION with those of AYURVEDA and MINDFULNESS.

Balance 21 focuses primarily on  Bio-Individuality and people's diverse ability to detoxify.

This program is the result of many years of studying and practicing molecular regeneration and the knowledge acquired supporting hundreds of clients through their detoxification process on the Medical Medium lifestyle.

As of today, I have helped over 1,000 clients: women, men, children, and adults, all over the world.

 

What I have learned is that most of the cleanses and programs available utilize a One-Size-Fits-All model, that defies the principle of bio-diversity and inhibits the INDIVIDUAL self-healing mechanism.

 

When this happens, although we initially see improvements, we reach a plateau and we feel stuck in our progress or our ability to sustain the progress.

 

We can't beat nature, we can only work with it. Each one of us was designed to thrive and regenerate in specific conditions, and the truth lies in the fact that these conditions may be different for each one of us.

 

Another important aspect of Balance 21 is that it empowers the individual to tune in with the body and self-guide his/her own detox process.

 

Last but not least, Balance 21 puts back sustainability in extreme and too polarized dietary protocols, that create isolation and disconnection from the self and the world around.

Elimination Diet

There are foods that are proven to cause or mediate inflammatory responses, immune irritation, hormonal imbalance, allergic reactions, and increased viral load.

 

Balance 21 is a primarily whole food, plant-based approach (although some people may choose to maintain animal proteins)  that includes organic and unprocessed foods high in antioxidants, vitamins, healing phytochemicals,, mineral fiber, and essential fatty acids.

 

The elimination diet in Balance 21 is sustained for 14 days, after which some of the foods are carefully reintroduced based on individual progress and sensitivities to design your own individual lifestyle.

 

Rather than blanketing entire food categories for good, the Elimination Diet is here used to understand INDIVIDUAL food reactions.

 

Since the integrity of our intestinal wall is constantly changing based on what we live, eat, and breathe, some foods act as triggers at times, but not others. So I recommend going through a periodic elimination diet to reset and repair.

Body Types in Balance 21

In Balance 21 we take the Elimination Diet a  step further by PERSONALIZING it based on the teachings of Ayurveda, a 2000 years old medical practice.

 

According to Ayurvedic teachings, the five elements: fire, water, air, earth, and space, are the fundamental bricks with which nature builds everything.

 

Ayurveda recognizes three body types, called doshas. They are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Each of these doshic body types uses metabolic energy in a unique way. Vata spends energy. Pitta manages it. Kapha stores it. Your body type affects your physical constitution, psychology, and way of thinking. Each body type tends to characteristic imbalances as well.

 

In Balance 21 is essential to understand and protect genetic differences and bio-individuality and I found (tested and proven) in Ayurveda the answer.

 

From Ayurveda, we take also the knowledge of the powerful healing properties of plants, herbs in particular. The detoxification process is at the core of Ayurvedic medicine and the use of herbs as food and medicine, often intertwining, is a pillar of this ancient healing tradition. I have been using Ayurvedic herbs in my cleanses, but in Balance 21 we zoom in on the ones who support the body's natural ability to detoxify and regenerate.

 

 

Mind Over Matter In Balance 21

What I learned with myself and my almost 1000 clients is that the scariest of all symptoms are in the mind.

From streams of negative thoughts to fear and anxiety to a sense of hopelessness and defeat to self-loathing behaviors, our mind is often what prevents us from getting better. The problem is that our mental state doesn't just stay in our mind...it affects the production of hormones, our sleeping patterns, our immune and lymphatic system.

 

If you have done a cleanse with me or attended one of my retreats you know how much emphasis I put on the emotional food.

In my previous cleanses I used to recommend daily movement, breathing, and journaling.

In Balance 21 we incorporate these daily activities in the menu, because as I always say, there is a lot of "food" off the plate that we swallow daily, and that must be addressed and metabolized.

 

Balance 21 includes daily step by step video guides on gentle yoga poses, breathing exercises, tapping, and meditation, that are essential for the successful outcome of the program.
